Changes on my blogs header and learning

I'm learning to work with Photoshop and I'm trying out some possibilities and which one I like best for my blogs header. It's a process, because I'm finding out by trial and error what the best dimensions are for the file to use for my blogs header. It seems I can only really see how something works when I see it on the blog. When I look at it I notice things I can change to make it look better or think of other possibilities. Or that it would be good to make my Facebook Page and blog recognizable to people. Part of that is not changing it too often, which Is what I am doing lately. And then there are the dimensions of a picture for a Facebook header: they are different and I can't use the file I used for this blogs header, because it won't fit right. Again: a lot of trial and error. But that's how I learn I suppose.  My opinion changes quite often about my own experiments ;-). I believe I like how the header for this blog looks now and I think I"ll leave it this way. For quite a while. Next step is to figure out how to get my header for Facebook right. One step at a time, I"ll give it some rest now and will start drawing. The old-fashioned way: on paper.

  1. It looks really nice, this blog header :) I struggled with making blog header and everything when I started blogging too. You will get the hang of it in no time :)

Waiting to see your new facebook header too :)

  2. I know what you mean Esther! I had the same problems with that, that's why my fb header is clipped - in the end I was just so frustrated I decided to leave it, meaning to go back to it later (but later hasn't come yet ;)) I suppose it doesn't really matter if they're not exactly the same but perhaps just easily recognisable as your work? Let me know if you make any interesting discoveries...

  3. It does take a lot of trial and error, but that's how you really start learning how to do it and get comfortable. I like what you've done. Your illustrations are great! Glad to meet you!
